Our toddler swimming lessons are all about splashing, exploring, and discovering the water! With a guardian by their side, little ones begin their swimming journey by building confidence and independence both with and without support. Through playful, game-led activities, children explore different ways to move, float, and enjoy the water while developing early coordination and water awareness.
Designed for curious and confident preschoolers, these lessons encourage children to move independently and follow simple instructions in the water. Using fun challenges and imaginative games, we help build water confidence and essential skills, preparing children for a smooth transition into our Learn to Swim Programme when they start primary school.
The perfect starting point for beginners! Using a fun, game-led approach, swimmers learn to feel comfortable and happy in the water. Children explore moving in all directions, getting their face wet, blowing bubbles, and discovering buoyancy—key building blocks for future stroke development
At this stage, swimmers start learning aquatic breathing and how to enter the water safely, including jumping in. Becoming confident with water on the face is a big milestone and helps children progress more quickly as they continue to develop their swimming skills.
Swimmers develop stronger kicks on both their front and back, practise push and glides, and begin swimming underwater. These skills improve body control and coordination and support a wide range of aquatic activities, from diving to artistic and competitive swimming.
Stage 4 focuses on refining leg kicks for all four strokes while building confidence through push and glides and learning sculling. Swimmers deepen their understanding of buoyancy and aim to swim 10 metres, meeting Swim England Expected Standards.
Swimmers learn to tread water, master arm pulls for all four strokes, and enjoy fun skills like handstands and somersaults. Treading water is a key developmental milestone and an essential life-saving skill, helping swimmers feel strong and secure in the water.
This stage develops efficient technique across all four strokes while introducing surface dives and preparing swimmers for exercise. Children focus on coordination, breathing control, and water safety, building strong foundations for confident, lifelong swimming.
The final stage brings everything together! Swimmers refine all four strokes, build stamina, and improve diving skills. They aim to swim up to 100 metres with quality technique, combining skills into a smooth, confident routine that showcases their full swimming journey.
