Active 4 Life Programme
Initially Active 4 Life was a programme of land-based exercise classes developed specifically for those recovering from heart attack or cardiac surgery, however, the classes proved to be so effective and popular they now cater for a range of members wanting to exercise in the water, the gym or beginner level aerobics and pilates.
The Active 4 Life programme is ideal for anyone preparing for or recovering from surgery, the less fit, the very unfit and the ‘fit for my age’ groups.
Whilst many people are referred onto the Active 4 Life programme via the Exercise Referral Scheme, many self refer. Everyone attending must undertake a consultation to ensure a basic health assessment is completed prior to starting their exercise programme. If we pick up any health problems we will always refer the individual back to their GP, but in nearly all of the cases the person will come back to us indicating all is ok.
Active 4 Life and Aqua 4 Life classes cost £4.40 for 3 and 4 Star members and £5.50 for non members. Classes are free for 5 Star and 3 Star direct debit members.
